Films, bubbles, droplets and phase change
The conference “Films, bubbles, droplets and phase change” will be held in a historically industrial region whose is known for its steelmaking industry for which heat and mass transfer appears to be involved in many processes; to take another example in e-car industry, thermal management of batteries in rapid battery charging operations can be done using dielectric fluids which will undergo transient boiling. Latest examples, the lifespan of nuclear power plants must be extended and it is therefore necessary to study all scenarios leading to severe accidents such as a core meltdown or a loss of coolant accident in the primary circuit for which thermohydraulic phenomena are involved at different scales.
The Euromech conference “Films, bubbles, droplets and phase change” wants to examine heat and mass transfer involved in many industrial processes where bubble, drops and flowing films undergo a phase change, from an academic point of view to the industrial application, including experiences and numerical simulations. We invite you (academics or industrial) to participate in this conference and to contribute to any topic, listed below, of your scientific interest.
- bubble and drop dynamics in thermodynamic disequilibrium
- fragmentation and atomization
- boiling at low to high pressure in steady and transient situations
- falling films, sheared films for heat exchanger applications
- wetting, dewetting in film formation undergoing a phase change
- Icing and de/anti-icing
